SURF Exams

Amateur Radio License Testing for Santa Cruz County and the Monterey Bay.

SURF Exams is an ARRL accredited testing team and our goal is to get you on the air to enjoy the hobby, serve your community, and meet new people from around the country and the globe. We are happy to partner with and support local organizations, like ham radio clubs, that want to help get new members on the air.

We'll give you an organized, low-stress environment with experienced ham radio operators as our Volunteer Examiners. You'll take the test on a tablet that we'll provide to you for the test. Just tap on the answers - no filling in bubbles on an exam form, no #2 pencils, and no waiting for paper forms to be filed.

In addition to helping you get on the air or upgraded, SURF Exams will help you connect with other hams in the area to learn more about the hobby, explore ways to put your skills to use as a volunteer, and just meet some interesting people.
